The Producers (DVD)

What it's about: After putting together another Broadway flop, down-on-his-luck producer Max Bialystock(Nathan Lane) teams up with timid accountant Leo Bloom (Matthew Broderick) in a get-rich-quick scheme to put on the world's worst show. (IMDb's)

What I thought of it: It wasn't bad. I love Nathan Lane's humour and was pleasantly surprise by Broderick's comedic sense. Uma was good and Will Ferrell, well, he was equal to himself! Had some very good moments and I really enjoyed all the stereotypes and innuendos. I guess, overall I enjoyed it.

My favorite scene/quote:

Mr. Marks: Do I smell the revolting stench of self-esteem?

When Uma's charactuer, Ulla, shows up for a job, Leo tells her: We might have a position for you. To which Max quickly adds: As a matter of fact, we might have several positions for you.

Max Bialystock: [to Ulla] Even though we're sitting down, Mr Bloom and I are giving you a standing ovation.

It's a good rental if you like musical type shows.
It's worth the rental just for the outtakes!
