The Thing About My Folks (DVD)

What it's about: A father (Peter Falk) and his son (Paul Reiser) end up travelling together after the mother (Olympia Dukakis) leaves the father for no apparent reason. A journey of discovery is awaiting father and son.

What I thought of it: I was curious about it from the little previews I had seen, plus I tend to like Mrs. Dukakis' work and I find Paul Reiser funny (really liked him in "Mad About You").
This movie is a touching love story between a son and his dad, and it brings up a lot of issues that we all face with our parents at some point in time, I think. The chemistry between Falk and Reiser's characters is very good, and we all can relate to situations in this movie. Mrs. Dukakis has a very small role, and she's good.

I think it's a must see, if you have a chance.
You'll enjoy it - it's a cute movie, and there are some really good lines.
